Akij Tableware Art of Plating Season 2 Crowns Its Champion

Akij Tableware Art of Plating Season 2 has come to a grand and artistic close, marking a remarkable chapter in Bangladesh’s culinary landscape. The finale, held on May 16, 2025, celebrated not just a competition but a cultural movement that elevated traditional food into an expressive art form.

 

After weeks of creative challenges, intense competition, and heartfelt storytelling through food, Md. Golam Rabby emerged as the season’s Plating Maestro, taking home the grand prize of BDT 10,00,000, a professional plating course, national media exposure, and an exclusive Akij Tableware dinner set.

 

The runners-up also shined brightly throughout the competition. Iffat Jerin Sarker claimed the Plating Icon title as first runner-up, winning BDT 5,00,000. Dr. Rawzatur Rumman earned the Plating Maverick title as second runner-up, receiving BDT 3,00,000. Homayun Kabir and Nawsheen Mubasshira Rodela, named Plating Masterminds, rounded out the top five, each awarded BDT 1,00,000.

 

With a total prize pool of BDT 20,00,000, the show did more than reward winners—it celebrated a new generation of culinary talent across Bangladesh.

The finale was graced by acclaimed actress Jaya Ahsan, whose presence added a touch of stardom to the occasion, and Mr. Talsim Md. Khan, Managing Director of AkijBashir Group, who presented the awards and applauded the contestants’ creativity, discipline, and passion.

 

Aired on Bangla Vision, RTV, Deepto TV, and streamed on Chorki, Art of Plating Season 2 captivated audiences nationwide. Under the mentorship of celebrated culinary experts Chef Daniel C. Gomez and Chef Saudia Sultana Smita, the contestants reimagined beloved Bengali dishes into visually stunning creations.
