Akij Biax Films Ltd. (ABFL) is the only manufacturer of Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP), Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (BOPET), Cast Polypropylene (CPP) & Stretch film in Bangladesh. ABFL incorporated a new state-of-the-art technological SML cast polypropylene (CPP) line in 2022, which can produce 600 metric tons per month at a speed of 300 meters per minute. The maximum width that can be achieved is 3200 mm, with thickness ranging from 18-100 microns featuring five layers. The five-layer films provide better flexibility with excellent barrier properties and OTR and WVTR. The automatic dosing system and 2 sigma in-line automatic thickness controller ensure consistent thickness and treatment.
ABFL offers ATLAS primary slitter CW1040, which operates at a high speed of 1000 meters per minute. The ATLAS CW 800 secondary slitter is a versatile machine that can slit and rewind various types of films from the primary slitter. The ATLAS CW 500 is a custom-made slitter exclusively designed for tobacco film.
